ANTHOLOGY,
a collection of choice poems. (Gk.) Several Gk. collections of
poems were so called; hence the extension of the name. Sir T.
Browne, Vulg. Errors, b. iv. c. 9. §
2, refers to 'the Greek Anthology.'—Gk.
