CAPILLARY,
relating to or like hair. (L.) 'Capillary
filaments;' Derham, Physico-Theology, b. iv. c. 12.—Lat.
capillaris,
relating to hair.—Lat.
capillus, hair; but esp. the hair of the
head; from the same source as Lat. caput, the head; the base cap-
being common to both words. See Curtius, i. 182; and see
Head.
