SANDWICHES
| CHEESE
SANDWICH |
| Heat two cups of milk and one of grated
cheese; then add two cups of fine bread crumbs, half teaspoonful of
mustard, pepper and salt; mix it well. Spread thickly between thin slices
of buttered toast. |
| SANDWICH
FILLING |
| Take ham, veal, chicken, sardines, etc.,
with the white of the eggs, chopped exceedingly fine, and mixed with a
sufficient amount of the All-Purpose Dressing
to make a paste the consistency of butter; spread this on thin slices of
bread, cut in irregular shapes, and you have most delicious sandwiches. |
| RANCHERO |
| For each sandwich, on a round sesame seed
bun, place 1 slice of American cheese, followed by 4 slices of luncheon
meats (say, 1 slice of bologna, 1 slice of pickle loaf, 1 slice of pepper
loaf, 1 slice of ham), and finally 1 slice of Swiss cheese. Wrap each
sandwich in light foil and heat in oven on top rack at 325º for approx.
10 minutes or until cheese is melted. |
