ALDRED, ALDRIED.   Bardsley has:  A baptismal name meaning "the son of Aldred."  This personal name died out soon after the surname epoch, and instances of its occurrence as a fontal name are scarce.

Arthur has:  ALDRED.  (Sax.)  All-fear—see Albert.
