A chapelry in the parish of Leigh, co. Lanc.; (2) a chapelry in the county
of Salop, five miles from Shrewsbury; (3) a parish in co. Warwick, near
Nuneaton; (4) a parish in co. Worcester, near Stourport. The
Lancashire Astleys are all from the chapelry near Leigh in that county. Arthur
has: ASTLEY
(Saxon) A
corruption of Estley
or Eastley, the east meadow or field.
