HAMILTON.
Originally Hambleton, from the manor of Hambleton, in
Buckinghamshire. William, third son of Robert, third Earl of Leicester,

name is derived from Hamell, a mansion, the seat of a freeholder, and dun,
an enclosure, a fortified place, a town.
