YOOL, YOULE, YOULL, YOUELL.   A baptismal name meaning "the son of Yule," a name given to children born on Christmas Day; cf. Noel, Nowell, Christmas, Midwinter, Pentecost, Pace, Pascal, &c.  From Yorkshire the surname seems to have gone northwards.
